Summer is nearly here and at Tyrrell Sports, we love athletics and cricket :) Your child will take part in a range of athletics and cricket activities during the Summer term. They will learn and develop new skills focusing on specific areas of athletics and cricket each session. During athletics your child will develop skills in the following track and field events: Long Jump, Triple Jump, Javelin, Shot Putt, Relays, Sprinting and Long Distance to name a few. There will also be opportunities to participate in different Olympic sports too such as Archery and Fencing. During cricket your child will develop skills in the following areas: Batting, fielding, bowling and wicket keeping. Throughout the course of the term, your child will be taught the importance of having good teamwork skills and how this helps to be successful.
